Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting our food industry production operations. This hands-on position involves conducting preventive maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure seamless ongoing production of food processing. You will be part of a collaborative team environment, utilizing your skills to enhance production efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure continuous food processing operations.
• Work collaboratively within a team setting to support production and operations.
• Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety management standards.
• Lead and oversee a team, providing guidance and training to team members.
• Manage projects related to process improvement and production efficiency.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with preventive maintenance in a food and beverage manufacturing environment.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and safety management.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft applications and email.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Background in mechanic, manufacturing, industrial maintenance.
• Experience as a maintenance technician in a food and beverage industry.
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish are a plus.
• Safety-oriented with a focus on process improvement.
• Effective communication skills.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment where food production occurs. The work setting can be noisy, with noise levels reaching 95-100 DB. The office area is quiet, and the plant conditions vary with outside temperatures, being either hot or cold. Full-time shifts are available, working any day of the week as needed, with schedules from 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am, following a pattern of 5 days on, 5 days off, 4 days on, and 4 days off.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of deming, New Mexico.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
