Description:

About Us:
Founded in 1974, MGM began as a dedicated transformer manufacturer and has grown to become the world’s largest independent producer in the category. Today, MGM delivers fully integrated power distribution solutions that combine deep engineering expertise, precision manufacturing, and responsive field services—all under one group. With nine satellite facilities across the United States and Mexico and over two million square feet of production space, MGM supports the entire power system lifecycle. Our solutions span the complete single-line diagram, from utility service entrance to rack-level distribution. Whether designing complex systems, building medium and low voltage switchgear, manufacturing transformers, integrating power skids and buildings, or servicing equipment in the field, MGM brings technical excellence and exceptional reliability to every project. We serve critical sectors such as datacenters, renewable energy, and high-demand commercial and industrial applications, where system uptime, safety, and scalability are non-negotiable. MGM simplifies complexity by offering a unified approach to power—backed by a commitment to empathic customer service, operational rigor, and a shared responsibility to deliver on the promise of our power infrastructure.

Compliance: Oversee compliance programs and implement training for internal teams to uphold regulatory and legal obligations.

Corporate Governance: Assist in managing board and committee materials, draft corporate policies, and maintain corporate records.

Litigation Support: Collaborate with external counsel on active litigation, guide internal document review, and develop strategies for risk mitigation.

M&A and Integration: Play a pivotal role in due diligence, transaction documentation, and post-merger integration activities.

Legal Operations: Develop and manage workflows to streamline our legal processes, from matter management, contract lifecycle management, to budgeting and vendor relations.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

· J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience at a public company legal department or equivalent in-house experience preferred.

Skills & Attributes:

· The ability to close deals quickly, efficiently, and in a way that promotes the legal team as a strategic asset to the company.

· Proven ability to see projects through from concept to completion—proactive self-starters will thrive here.

· Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and consensus across different teams.

· Detail-oriented yet flexible enough to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

· Demonstrated experience in commercial contracting, corporate governance, and compliance.

· Confident communication style—clear, concise, and comfortable delivering messages to senior leadership.

· Creativity in problem-solving—we want someone who can bring fresh ideas to the table.

Work Environment & Culture:

· Primarily in-office presence, five days a week, to foster collaboration and relationship-building, with the occasional opportunity to work remotely.

· High-energy, entrepreneurial spirit—our teams move quickly, and we value an ability to pivot with agility.

· Supportive environment that encourages growth, continuous learning, and professional development.

If you’re looking to stretch your legal skills in a dynamic setting—and you’re excited to help shape a growing department from the ground up—we’d love to hear from you.
