Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will carry out all work assigned for construction, renovation, and carpentry repair projects of Frost Valley's buildings and other program facilities. This position will utilize a team approach, working with the Director of Property to meet facilities and resource management goals. Work will consistently be at a high standard to meet the needs of our guests and the organization as a whole.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Attend to assigned tasks that may include carpentry, drywall, painting and finishing, roofing, windows, doors, hardware installation, plumbing or electrical repairs. Assist as necessary with grounds care, including snow and ice removal and sanding. Note observations of needed maintenance and conditions that present safety concerns and bring these to the attention of the supervisor. Develop and maintain a safe working environment and ensure safe work practices. Evaluate current work practices and develop creative, pro-active methods that enhance the services provided. Provide an open forum of communication that encourages innovative thinking amongst the staff. Attend required staff meetings. Promote effective teamwork in a friendly and cooperative work environment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust. Employee may be required to traverse on rough terrain.
