Purpose and Scope: The RN CAP 1 is an entry-level position into the Clinical Advancement Program. Responsible for providing competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. May delegate tasks to care staff and participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and program operations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Perform duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and regulations. Under supervision, perform patient assessments, document data, and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Provide patient and family education and collaborate with the healthcare team. Administer medications, monitor responses, and respond to emergencies. Serve as a resource, participate in staff training, and may provide specialized instruction. Assist in outpatient facilities as needed and complete CAP requirements for advancement. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Includes heavy lifting, patient mobility assistance, prolonged standing, and equipment handling. Supervision: Oversight of care staff after meeting training and experience requirements. Education and Licensure: Current state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and practice in all employed states.
