Purpose of the Job:
The Vineyard Technician is involved in the daily operations of the Vineyard. Job tasks include but are not limited to Mowing, weed spraying, tractor use, suckering, and wire movements
Essential Job Functions:
Deliver high-quality grapes for the winery

• 
  Be able to pick up and carry around at least 50 lbs
• Be willing to work in any weather conditions, as this is primarily an outdoor job all year round.
• Maintain equipment as needed
• Be willing to work longer hours as needed during harvest
• Perform all duties with the highest standard for quality and cleanliness.

Education/Experience:

• 
  Any previous vineyard experience is preferred
• Associates degree in Viticulture or a related field is ideal
• The desire to produce quality grapes for wine production
• Wine knowledge is helpful but not required
• Basic mathematical and computer literacy

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Work Schedule:
This position typically works 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM on weekdays. 40-hour work weeks the majority of the year, hours may include weekends if needed, and longer days during harvest.
