Job Summary

This temporary full-time position supports flight instruction for full-time and continuing education students at the Eastman airport. The role is FAA-approved and represents the school to the FAA. Responsibilities include managing and scheduling student flight lessons and assisting with FAA practical test recommendations. The position reports to an assistant chief flight instructor.

Responsibilities

• Provide flight instruction to aviation students.
• Assist faculty, aviation staff, and students with scheduling, documentation, and other flight department tasks.
• Assist in handling aircraft positioning on the ramp.
• Maintain students progress in a standardized training record.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support campus operations.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• CFII certificate with a current 2nd class medical.

Preferred Qualifications

• Sufficient experience to understand basic principles relevant to the duties, typically associated with at least two years of experience.
• Knowledge of university and school policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of admission, registration, and degree program requirements.
• MEI preferred.
