Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School Social Worker position is available for a leave replacement contract running from September 3 to October 13 in Muskegon, MI. This role supports a middle school caseload of approximately 30 students, offering critical social and emotional assistance to help foster their academic and personal success.
Responsibilities include providing direct counseling services, conducting assessments, collaborating with school staff and families, and connecting students with community resources. The social worker will be assigned to one school site and is expected to work 40 hours per week, ensuring a consistent presence for the students served.
Ideal candidates will hold a Michigan School Social Worker certification (310 Certification and LARA) and have experience working with middle school-aged children in an educational setting. Candidates with a clear understanding of school-based social work interventions and related community services will excel in this role. While this position is primarily onsite, consideration may be given to virtual candidates if onsite applicants are unavailable.
