Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An educational institution in Berkeley, CA, is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to support students and families throughout the school year on a contract basis. This role focuses on addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students by collaborating closely with school staff and community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage individual student and family cases, providing resources and referrals to appropriate community services
• Deliver counseling and support addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Conduct home visits to evaluate family environments and offer necessary support
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external agencies to promote student well-being and success

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience working as a social worker within school settings is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges affecting students
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, school staff, and community organizations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
