Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Safety Specialist with a background in construction safety, preferably in heavy civil projects. This role will support site safety programs, conduct inspections and audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations
Deliver safety training and toolbox talks for crews and supervisors
Assist in developing and updating site-specific safety plans (SSSPs)
Maintain safety documentation and reports
Support project teams in identifying and mitigating hazards
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in construction safety (heavy civil preferred)
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices
Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or CHST a plus
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to travel to various job sites throughout the region
