About the Role
Are you a licensed Registered Nurse looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students? We're seeking a Substitute RN School Nurse to join our school's health team. In this position, you will provide direct medical care, manage students' health needs, and ensure the overall well-being of the school community. What You'll Do
As a Substitute RN School Nurse, you'll take on diverse responsibilities that include providing immediate care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications, and collaborating with school staff to create a safe environment for students. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate health records, monitoring chronic conditions, and responding effectively to emergencies. Additionally, you will educate students and staff on health topics and assist in developing and implementing care plans for those with specific medical needs.
Your leadership and expertise will also support other nursing staff as you ensure the highest standards of care are upheld. Whether you're addressing daily health concerns or assisting in larger health initiatives, your contributions will have a lasting impact on the school community.
Qualifications
We're looking for an RN with an active license and a passion for working with children and adolescents. Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or community health is a plus. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations are key to success in this role.
