Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Receptionist to support our client’s medical facility based in Atlantic City, NJ - 08401 . This is a 3 -month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Atlantic City, NJ - 08401

Pay Range: $18/hr to $21/hr

Shift: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 4 pm, Friday 7:30 am-12:30 pm

Duration: 03 Months (Contract) with possible extension.

*Pay rate is based on years of experience and educational qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and receive all visitors and patients approaching the Receptionist area in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Provide clear directions and information related to Medical Center services and locations.
  • Answer routine questions regarding the Medical Center, its services, and how to access them.
  • Provide accurate in-patient information in compliance with privacy and hospital policies.
  • Explain and enforce the Visitor Pass policy effectively.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
  • Respond to routine inquiries about patient information using ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) systems and patient census reports.
  • Refer callers to the appropriate departments or personnel as needed.
  • Issue visitor passes to authorized individuals according to Medical Center policy.
  • Contact Nursing Units for approval prior to allowing visitors during non-visiting hours.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for Visitor Pass records.
  • Monitor visitor pass inventory and request replacements as necessary.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, visitors, Nursing Units, and other internal departments.
  • Pick up and manage census sheets from the admitting office regularly.
  • Report any injury incidents occurring in the lobby immediately to the Nursing Supervisor.
  • Prepare detailed Incident Reports for any injuries or safety incidents in the Reception/Lobby area.
  • Notify Environmental Services promptly if the lobby area requires cleaning or maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support Medical Center operations and enhance patient experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to use Admission Discharge Transfer System and read Census Reports.
  • Intermediate MS Office Suite
  • Must be courteous, friendly and possess interpersonal skills compatible to serving a diverse community.

  • 2 years relevant experience
