We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable PT Aide to join our team full-time at Thrive Health LI. This position is for an energetic, quick-learning, compassionate, and dedicated PT Aide. Applicants must be dependable with reliable transportation, personable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to work in a team setting, have strong multi-tasking skills, and have good communication skills.
Job Description:

• Instruct, motivate, safeguard, or assist patients in practicing exercises or functional activities under the direction of Physical Therapist.
• Record treatment given and equipment used.
• Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment.
• Observe patients during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress and report to the Physical Therapist.
• Confer with physical therapy staff or others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, or coordinating treatment.
• Arrange treatment supplies to keep them in order.
• Clean and organize the work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
• Measure the patient's range of joint motion to determine the effects of treatments or for patient evaluations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Personal trainer or Physical therapy aide experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and in a team
• Comfortable working with patients of all ages and backgrounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4-day work week 
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
• No weekends

Work Location: In person
E. Setauket, NY
