Job Summary: As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with patient examinations and treatments under the guidance of a healthcare provider. Key Responsibilities: Assist with treatments as ordered by the provider, under supervision. Interview patients, record vital signs, and maintain accurate patient charts. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations. Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones and maintaining records. Manage supplies by ordering and stocking as needed, while keeping the environment clean and organized. Maintain a safe and alert work environment at all times. Fulfill other duties as assigned. Education Requirements: High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience. For Wisconsin-specific candidates: Graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting or equivalent educational certification. Experience: No prior experience necessary. Physical Demands: Required to stand and walk continuously. Use hearing and speech for effective communication. Lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs frequently; up to 50 lbs occasionally. Engage in various movements including bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional patient lifting/moving required. Driving may be necessary. Certifications Needed: Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) from the American Heart Association.
