We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team immediately. This role is crucial for supporting our educators and providing a positive, nurturing, and effective learning environment for our students. Responsibilities:
Help to reinforce lessons, re-teach concepts, and assist with academic assignments as directed by the teacher.
Support clients with special needs and exceptionalities by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
Assist with facility management, monitor client behavior, and minimize distractions to ensure a safe and productive environment.
Perform duties, such as preparing meals, organizing the facility, and maintaining client records.
Transport clients to and from appointments, school, etc.
Provide basic caregiving support and assistance with activities of daily living, as needed and as directed by company policy.
Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, staff, and parents regarding client progress and well-being.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Prior experience working with children, especially in an educational or childcare setting, is highly desirable.
Relevant college-level coursework, an Associate's degree, or a successful score on a state-specific paraprofessional test (e.g., ParaPro Assessment) may be required depending on location.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with students of diverse abilities.
Have a valid NC driver's license
