Network Engineer I

Modivcare is looking for a Network Engineer I to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the communications and security systems of the company's Local Area and Wide Area Network(s). It assists in the configuration, maintenance, and security of network infrastructure and provides technical support for regional offices and remote server locations.

This role will be hybrid out of our Denver office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in configuring and maintaining network routers and switches to ensure optimal response times.
  • Supports the setup and maintenance of network devices and services for corporate and regional offices.
  • Documents configurations and procedures for network setup.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining network security policies and procedures.
  • Helps monitor network performance and report issues to management.
  • Performs routine maintenance on network systems as per documentation and plans.
  • Assists in troubleshooting network issues and supports problem resolution.
  • Provides Level 1 technical support to regional offices for network access and usage.
  • Assists in periodic reporting to management on network issues.
  • Helps monitor and maintain security and IOS patch levels on network devices.
  • Assists in configuring network devices to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Supports other team members with remote server locations (troubleshooting, repairs, installations, etc.).
  • Assists in maintaining the company intranet system.
  • Participates in other projects or duties as assigned.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Zero (0) plus years of experience.
  • CCNA Level Cisco Certification preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Basic experience in setting up and administering network systems.
  • Familiarity with routing, switches, and other network appliances.
  • Basic understanding of monitoring and reporting systems/services.
  • Ability to analyze TCP/IP packets and protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail.

Salary: $56,200 - $77,300
