Mobile Application Developer

LMI is actively seeking a dynamic, experienced Mobile Application Developer with a strong background in modern software development. This role involves translating design concepts into responsive, high-performance software applications. This position is located in the Northern VA/DC metro area. Travel within CONUS will be required on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Front-End Development : Design, develop, and maintain the front-end components of a native mobile application using frameworks such as React Native, SwiftUI, or Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM). Optimize UI components for performance and responsiveness on both Android and iOS platforms. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a seamless and visually appealing user experience.
• Integration and Collaboration : Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure data accuracy and security. Implement real-time data syncing, caching, and offline functionality as required.
• Testing and Debugging : Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure functionality and adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with the QA team to resolve bugs and optimize performance.
• Documentation and Standards : Create and maintain technical documentation for front-end code and processes. Ensure compliance with ATIS security and accessibility standards, including 508 compliance and DoD guidelines.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance app development practices. Contribute to discussions on new features, technical challenges, and system improvements.

Qualifications

Required : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 5+ years of experience in front-end development, preferably with a focus on mobile applications.

• Proficiency in React Native
• Proficiency with native Swift, or Kotlin
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.)
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling JSON data
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, XCTest, or Espresso

Preferred : Familiarity with the SAFe Agile methodology and tools like Gitlab. Experience with military or government projects. Knowledge of security best practices for mobile applications. Certification in mobile app development or related technologies.

• Knowledge of backend development technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java is a plus.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for mobile apps.

Location: The position may require occasional travel within CONUS

Clearance: Candidates must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance . Current clearance is preferred.

Target salary range: $109,242 - $189,108
