This key role involves overseeing and coordinating all activities at the underground mine site, ensuring that operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Sound knowledge of underground mining practices, safety protocols, and regulations. Ability to supervise and lead underground mining operations to achieve production and safety targets. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations. Oversee the daily work of mine crews, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Implement and monitor operational procedures to improve productivity and reduce downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or challenges that arise. Conduct regular safety meetings and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. Liaise with senior management and stakeholders regarding project status and progress. Ensure all mining equipment and machinery is operated safely and maintained properly. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and high-performance standards.
