Job Description

Welcome to the future of cloud networking and security!

Cato Networks is the first company to converge enterprise networking and security into one centralized and global service that is delivered by cloud. It is led by networking and security pioneer Shlomo Kramer (Check Point, Imperva) and early investor (Palo Alto Networks, Exabeem, Trusteer and more). Cato's unique technology inspired a brand-new product category, later named "SASE" by Gartner and a market expected to reach $25 billion by 2027.

This is your opportunity to get on the rocket ship and join a company that is building a cutting-edge enterprise network and secure cloud platform, and is on a fast track to becoming the worldwide market leader – don't miss it!

We are looking for an experienced lawyer to join us as Legal Counsel. The role will help build the legal and compliance foundation and infrastructure required to support an amazing company and the business teams in the Americas and worldwide. The ideal candidate has a sharp business focus, is proactive, decisive, and highly collaborative.

We are open to candidates that are located remotely in the United States, with a preference for Eastern time zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice and recommendations on numerous legal and business issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to structure, draft and negotiate complex agreements and communicate effectively with sales professionals as well as attorneys, internal stakeholders in the company, and representatives of customers and partners in the Americas.
  • Knowledge of various technology agreements, including sales, various business models, licenses, consulting, NDAs, open-source, Channel partner and Strategic Alliance agreements, and other agreements commonly used in the high-tech industry required.
  • Monitor and provide guidance on data privacy and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Create and maintain standard templates, business processes, and internal policies to help scale the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, Juris Doctorate, and a current license to practice law in at least one U.S. State
  • 3+ years of experience in both a law firm and in-house environment, with a mix of commercial (customer-facing), product, and operational responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passion for collaboration and driving projects to completion.
  • A "roll up the sleeves" attitude, with a desire to learn new skills, build your experience with projects that may be outside your comfort zone, and work on projects in multi-disciplinary teams
