Point 2 Point INC. with FedEx Ground has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for delivery drivers in Ashland, VA. Our delivery drivers will be operating box trucks and step vans in urban and suburban areas surrounding the terminal. You will be operating out of the FedEx terminal at 7 industry way Staunton VA 24401 . We are looking for motivated and dependable individuals to work as part of a team! We are accepting applications for full-time and part-time delivery drivers!

Pay: $21.25/Hourly

Schedule : FULL TIME | Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday | 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

PART TIME - [Days] | 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Requirements:

• Drivers must be 21 years of age or older
• Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Report
• Drivers must be willing to submit to a background check
• Drivers must be able to physically manage packages up to 150 lbs
• Drivers must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Drivers must be able to pass a drug test and DOT physical exam (PAID BY EMPLOYER)

Duties:

• Arrive at the terminal in a timely manner.
• Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers, without damage to the packages, company vehicle or yourself.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries using GPS
• Possibly need to load cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
• Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery, if necessary
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes
• Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles, such as vans and box trucks.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and co-workers
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks, such as loading and unloading cargo
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
