Our client a top tier financial services firm is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Equity Middle Trading Assistant to join their dynamic team in Jacksonville, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in supporting front-office trading activities, ensuring trade capture accuracy, timely trade affirmation, and reconciliation across various equity products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the liaison between Front Office, Back Office, Risk, and external counterparties to ensure seamless trade flow and resolution of breaks.
• Monitor and reconcile daily trade activity, P&L, and position discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Support new product implementations, process enhancements, and system upgrades.
• Work cross-functionally to resolve booking issues and confirm trade economics with counterparties.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders including Traders, Risk, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Middle Office, Trade Support, or Operations role within Equity Markets.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle for equities, including cash equities, swaps, and derivatives.
• Familiarity with industry platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Fidessa, Omgeo, DTCC, MarkitSERV, etc.).
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with reconciliation tools and trade capture systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
