Dog Bather (Groom Tech)

SR Griffin Enterprises Inc. DBA Woofie’s of Kansas City-North brings the comforts and amenities of an upscale grooming salon to the privacy and convenience of your home. Our fully equipped, self-contained mobile spa with state-of-the-art grooming equipment is designed to achieve maximum safety, comfort, and convenience. We are seeking a Groom Technician who performs pet bathing services by receiving grooming instructions, resolving pet owner concerns, and maintaining supplies, van, and grooming workspaces. The Groomer Tech will work with management to begin training to become a Pet Groomer.

Responsibilities:

· Assess pet condition and obtain service request by interviewing pet owner and inspecting pet

· Bath pets by bathing, brushing, combing, paw pad trimming, de-shedding, de-matting, drying, clipping/filing nails, cleaning ears, and deodorizing according to breed or mixed breed specifications and in accordance with Woofie’s standards

· Express anal glands only upon client request (internal gland expression is unauthorized)

· Apply special precautions for puppies, aged, and disabled pets and ease pet anxieties and reduce behavioral issues by utilizing available resources and techniques

· Protect pets and self by adhering to safety policies and following procedure in the event of a pet medical emergency

· Maintain pet records by documenting services and updating information

· Clean, sanitize, and follow manufacturer's instructions for all equipment while conserving use of replenishable supplies by adhering to proper portion or dilution level guidelines

· Resolve customer issues by communicating directly with client and promptly following up with the back-office team

· Complete clerical, supply, cleaning, and any other tasks as assigned by the Mobile Pet Spa Director or Owners of Company

Qualifications:

· Professional Pet bathing experience

· Must have valid driver’s license & reliable transportation

· Excellent customer service experience is a plus

Hours/Days:

Monday-Thursday 3-8pm (times are approximate based on appointments) Every other Saturday 9-2 (times are approximate based on appointments.
