Description:

Essential Duties:

• Drives throughout the city and surrounding areas ensuring timely pickup and delivery of laboratory specimens, supplies and other items to and from SWL sites.
• Assists with sorting of deliveries according to specimen type and department required.
• Keeps a daily activity record indicating number of trips, destination, arrival/departure times and the number of requests.
• Communicates with laboratory personnel to ensure quality and efficient service.
• Responsible for collecting receipts and providing them to the appropriate resource for scanning and tracking of costs.
• Responsible for tracking outbound shipments in manual log,
• Provide quality customer service to clients.
• Maintain a basic understanding of the tests performed.
• Responsible for the SWL Courier Phone during scheduled shift. This includes answering the phone in a timely manner and facilitating courier/supply requests during operating hours.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must maintain the ability to drive and be insurable under the SWL insurance policies
• HIPAA Certified (provided by SWL)
• Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to urgent situations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Medical Courier experience preferred but not required.
