*JOB TITLE:* Route Driver
*FLSA STATUS*: Non-Exempt
*PRIMARY PURPOSE:* We are seeking a dependable Route Driver who is detail-oriented and possesses the physical and mental stamina this role requires. In this role, you will work closely with our customers and be responsible for the delivery and merchandising of products to meet both customer and company standards.
*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
· This position is considered safety sensitive due to the required operation of motor vehicles.
· Safely and efficiently operate CDL and non-CDL class vehicles.
· Remain cleared to drive by the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA)
· Safe motor vehicle operation always requires a constant state of alertness and awareness of the surroundings.
· Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles.
· Foster relationship with customers, maintain quality assurance and provide superior customer service.
· Resolve delivery issues and collect payment where applicable.
· Utilize mobile applications and devices for invoices.
· Deliver, fill, merchandise, and rotate product on display and in cold drink equipment.
· Safely use equipment to aid in hauling loads (for example, operating pallet jacks, using dock plates, or using load bars and straps)
· Set-up and build displays, merchandise, and sales promotion displays.
· Delivering products in a timely and safe manner
· Merchandise products at each store/account location on the day’s route.
· Maintain a safe working environment, pick up damaged and out-of-date product, break down cardboard, manage dunnage, empty shells, and pallets.
· Ability to read, speak, write and understand English to perform basic math skills (Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
· Maintains professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
· Ensure proper accounting of product, cash, and assets daily.
· Perform various duties as assigned.
*MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS: Valid Class A or B commercial license and not prohibited through Clearing House*
*Education:* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
*Experience:* Previous Driver/Merchandiser experience is preferred.
*Certification/Licensure:* Valid Commercial driver’s license/ Dot Medical Card/ Clean MVR (reverified every 12months)
*SKILL/ABILITIES:*
● Must be able to communicate effectively and have interpersonal skills.
● Must be able to follow verbal and written directives
● Must be able to read, write, have basic math skills, and input electronic data.
● Must have the ability to ability to effectively solve on-site problems.
● Must be able to lift, carry, push heavy products. This position is very active and requires regular walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing stairs. Frequently lift and/or move items over 55lbs (kegs of 180lbs). Potentially work in cramped and tight spaces.
