Child Care Worker/Floater 
Full Time

Shepherd’s Way is seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Worker/Floater to join our team! We provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The Child Care Worker/Floater will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and development of our little ones.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Prepare bottles and assist with feeding.
• Change diapers and assist with potty training.
• Clean and sanitize toys and surfaces.
• Implement age-appropriate activities, including songs, games, and sensory play.
• Observe children and document their developmental milestones.
• Comfort and nurture children, responding to their individual needs.
• Manage classroom behavior in a positive and supportive manner.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
• Give breaks and lunches to staff.
• Assist with various tasks throughout the day, as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare or childcare setting.
• Knowledge of child development principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, understanding, and a genuine love for working with children.
• Ability to create and implement engaging activities.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry children, bend, squat, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
