This role oversees the financial reporting for 2Hudson, the holding company of MPN and Mobile Steam.

Position Summary:

Miller Proctor Nickolas, Inc. (MPN), a 100% employee-owned company. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) leads our financial management functions. This individual plays a critical role in overseeing the financial strategy, reporting, and compliance, particularly in the unique context of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This role is an experienced leader in both financial and operations management, who can drive service excellence, financial performance, and shareholder value for our employee-owners. This role oversees the financial reporting for 2Hudson, the holding company of MPN and Mobile Steam.

This position has a direct report who is the Controller of the organization. All HR functions also report to this role with a dedicated HR Representative

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as the companys Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with ESOP-related financial and fiduciary requirements, including annual valuations, tax filings, and employee communication on ESOP matters.
  • Interface with lenders, creditors, auditors, and other financial stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Manage and lead the accounting team, providing direction and oversight in day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, financial controls, and compliance.
  • Act as the companys 401(k) manager, overseeing the administration, compliance, and employee engagement related to the 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the companys growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability, particularly in relation to capital structure, liquidity management, and investment strategies.
  • Act as the right-hand support for the CFO on all financial strategies for the enterprise.

Key Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • CPA or equivalent financial certification required.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in senior financial and operations management roles, with a proven track record of leading both service operations and financial strategy.
  • Extensive experience working in an ESOP environment and a deep understanding of ESOP administration and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, with a focus on long-term value creation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, service operations, and parts/warehouse teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders, including lenders and creditors.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational excellence and financial performance.
