\n\nSalary: $50,000 annually (may be slightly flexible depending on experience)
\n\n \nAbout the Role\n\nWe’re seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations for a well-established, mission-driven nonprofit arts organization in the Fargo–Moorhead area. This role suits someone with strong accounting knowledge and organizational skills. You’ll be essential in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and ensuring GAAP compliance.
\n\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\nProcess and reconcile daily financial transactions
\n\t\n\tMonitor donations, sales, and incoming revenue
\n\t\n\tManage payroll, correct time punches, track PTO, and generate payroll reports
\n\t\n\tAssist with budgeting and prepare monthly financial statements
\n\t\n\tTrack and report budget variances
\n\t\n\tMonitor bank and credit card accounts; manage petty cash
\n\t\n\tPay invoices, issue checks, and process reimbursements
\n\t\n\tPrepare quarterly and annual tax and gaming reports
\n\t\n\tMaintain financial records and ensure GAAP compliance
\n\t\n\tSupport external audits and annual tax preparation
\n\t\n\tRenew licenses, subscriptions, and certifications
\n\t\n\tHandle HR paperwork and employment verifications
\n\t\n\tTrack fixed assets and manage accounting supplies
\n\t\n\tProvide financial reporting and administrative support to leadership
\n\t\nAssociate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
\n\t\n\tStrong understanding of bookkeeping and GAAP
\n\t\n\tProficiency in QuickBooks is required
\n\t\n\tExperience in a nonprofit or small business environment is a plus
