Bartender - Part Time

Seasonal, Part Time, $17 per hour

Job Summary

Bartenders provide excellent service to bar guests. They set-up the bar area, prepare and mix beverages, serve customers, and maintain the cleanliness of the bar area.

Job Duties

• Checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol (Essential)
• Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered, in a timely manner and in compliance with company standards (Essential)
• Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, and accurately counts and provides change to customers when applicable (Essential)
• Monitors the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting the sale to those who are intoxicated. Orders taxis or other means of transportation for intoxicated patrons (Essential)
• Operates in compliance with federal, state and local law requirements for serving alcohol (Essential)
• Greets customers and takes beverage orders for guests from restaurant servers
• Performs shift opening and closing duties as directed by the Restaurant Manager
• Presents menus, takes orders and serves food to guests seated at the bar
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains bar area including counters and equipment
• Prepares garnishes, stocks, and replenishes beverages and garnishment supply as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous bartending experience (Required)
• Professional appearance
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Preferred Certifications/Licensures: (TIPS Certification)
