About this position
The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Florida Southern College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Industrial/Organizational Psychology starting in August 2026. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in the Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology (MSIO) program, mentoring graduate and undergraduate research, and advising students aspiring to careers in I/O Psychology and related fields. The teaching load is twelve credits per semester and includes both graduate and undergraduate courses.

About our ideal candidate
Applicants with a strong quantitative background and knowledge of statistics, as well as those with experience teaching courses in Leadership, Training and Development, Personnel Selection, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics, Workplace Motivation, and Special Topics in I/O Psychology are preferred.
We are seeking a candidate with a Doctorate in Industrial-Organizational (I/O) Psychology and a strong research and teaching background in the field. The successful candidate will not only demonstrate a passion for teaching and a collegial attitude but also show a genuine concern for students. They should be committed to promoting active and engaged learning, as well as conducting collaborative research with students. Additionally, they will be expected to maintain an appropriate scholarly agenda and serve on college committees.
