Job Description

Associate General Counsel

Fully Remote | Fast-Growing Biotech/Pharma Company
Compensation: $200,000 – $300,000 Base + More

Join a mission-driven biotech company transforming the future of rare autoimmune disease treatment. We’re developing innovative therapies for patients who need them most—and we’re looking for a strategic legal partner to help guide our growth.

About the Role

We’re adding an Associate General Counsel to our dynamic legal team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you’ll be a key business partner across the company, providing practical legal advice, driving compliance initiatives, and ensuring that we move fast while staying grounded in ethics and integrity.

This is an opportunity to do meaningful work at the intersection of science, law, and business—where your impact will be felt across patients, employees, and the broader healthcare community.

What You’ll Do
  • Keep Us Compliant: Navigate the complex biotech regulatory landscape and ensure we’re ahead of the curve on evolving laws.

  • Strengthen Our Culture of Integrity: Develop and deliver engaging training on compliance topics—from our Code of Conduct to anti-bribery and anti-kickback rules—while continuously refining company policies.

  • Be a Deal-Maker: Draft, review, and negotiate critical agreements (clinical trial, licensing, manufacturing, research collaborations, vendor, and more).

  • Enable Commercial Success: Partner with the commercial team to review promotional materials, advertising, and other go-to-market initiatives.

  • Protect and Empower: Spot legal risks early, propose smart solutions, and balance business agility with compliance.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work side-by-side with colleagues in R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, HR, Finance, and Commercial to deliver clear, actionable guidance.

  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Foster trust at every level of the organization, championing ethical business practices and sound judgment.

What You’ll Bring
  • JD (or equivalent) with active bar membership in good standing.

  • 10+ years of legal experience in biotech, pharma, or life sciences (in-house or at a top firm advising clients in these sectors).

  • Deep knowledge of the regulations shaping the biotechnology industry.

  • Proven success drafting and negotiating complex agreements.

  • Familiarity with global privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR).

  • A reputation for providing clear, business-oriented legal counsel in fast-moving environments.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills—you can talk science with scientists, strategy with executives, and compliance with employees.

  • Impeccable ethics, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing focus.

Why Join Us?

This isn’t just another legal role. It’s a chance to help shape a high-growth biotech company as it brings life-changing medicines to market. You’ll work with passionate, driven colleagues in a collaborative environment where your voice matters and your work has a direct impact on patients’ lives.

If this sounds like something you are interested in, apply today!
