About the Role

Do you have experience in Air Traffic Control (ATC) training with a passion for innovation? Concepts Beyond is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to support the modernization of Naval ATC training through the development of cutting-edge gaming and simulation tools. Join our team and help revolutionize how Navy trainees master critical ATC concepts, procedures, and skills.

What You’ll Do:

• Contribute subject matter expertise to enhance Naval ATC training curriculum, processes, and tools at the ATC schoolhouse and training facilities.
• Analyze current training materials to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement using interactive and gamified learning solutions.
• Collaborate with software developers and instructional designers to create engaging teaching tools, including quizzes, phraseology trainers, and skills simulations.
• Recommend and support the implementation of modern classroom technologies, integrating mobile learning apps and other innovative methodologies.
• Ensure training aligns with Navy and FAA standards, including NAVAIR 00-80T-114 and FAA Order JO 7110.65.
• Innovate new training techniques and communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical teams and instructors.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4+ years’ experience as an Air Traffic Controller, with proficiency in both Control Tower and Approach Control operations.
• Extensive instructional experience, delivering training and guidance to ATC personnel.
• Strong knowledge of Navy and FAA ATC procedures and regulations, including FAA Order 7110.65.
• Ability to assess and enhance training programs through technology-driven and gamified learning approaches.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working alongside software developers, instructional designers and military personnel to develop innovative training solutions.

Preferred Skills :

• Proven experience instructing Navy ATC trainees, preferably at the Navy ATC Schoolhouse/NATTC/FAA Academy.
• Previous experience providing consulting/training services related to the development of military/civil aviation sector.
