Job Description

AI ENGINEER needed for a 1 year   Contract, Hybrid opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Boston, MA.

The Big Picture – Top Skills Should You Possess: This AI Engineer role will be critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining production-grade AI systems and data pipelines at scale. The role blends software engineering, ML Ops, NLP, and enterprise integration to create future-ready AI infrastructure.

Pay range: $68 - $95/Hr.

What You Need to Bring to the Table/ Technical Skills Required:
  • Programming : Python, SQL, Git, CI/CD
  • ML Frameworks : TensorFlow, PyTorch
  • NLP/LLMs : Prompt engineering, context management, GPT/Claude/Bard/etc.
  • Data Pipelines : Apache Airflow, Prefect, Spark, Kafka
  • Cloud & MLOps : Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, Snowflake/Redshift
  • Architecture : Secure, scalable AI systems integrated with enterprise tech
  • Security : AI security best practices, adversarial resistance
  • Ethics : Fairness, transparency, responsible AI practices
  • Collaboration : Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in CS, AI, ML or related (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years in AI/ML Engineering, including 2+ years in production AI systems
  • Experience in higher ed or complex institutional environments a plus
What You’ll Be Doing/ Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy scalable machine learning systems and data pipelines
  • Lead ML lifecycle: data prep, model training, validation, deployment, monitoring
  • Engineer AI/NLP-based applications with large language models (LLMs)
  • Build cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Integrate AI services into enterprise APIs, databases, and IAM platforms
  • Prototype and operationalize AI workflows for use across their functions
  • Ensure AI security, bias mitigation, ethical use, and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and explain technical concepts
