We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Kansas City, Missouri. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization while overseeing key accounting functions. As part of our dedicated services team, you will play a vital role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term growth.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and guide a team of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and staff accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to inform strategic decision-making.
• Conduct financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries to maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee compensation.
• Monitor financial performance and conduct detailed financial analyses to support business growth.
• Implement and maintain accounting systems, including FinancialForce and Excel, to streamline processes.
• Foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as FinancialForce and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong expertise in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, account reconciliation, and journal entries.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial analysis.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration.
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid work schedule, including occasional in-office presence every other Wednesday.
