Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the finance and accounting sector, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join their team. As an Accounting Assistant , you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounting Assistant 

Location: Mettawa, IL

What's the Job?

• Processing new membership agreements, hold requests, and other billing-related member requests
• Preparation of KPI trackers to monitor performance metrics
• Collaborating closely with the Sales team and Member Experience team to ensure an excellent member experience
• Working with the Accounts Receivable team to resolve invoicing issues
• Supporting data entry, record keeping, and computer operations to maintain accurate financial records

What's Needed?

• Minimum 1 year experience in general accounting or transaction processing
• Associate degree in Finance or Accounting
• Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, and multi-tasking abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter attitude
